NCDH x Local Apparel: Will Seal

To celebrate 10 years of NCDH, we wanted to go back to our roots and pay homage to integral parts of our development, Will Seal and Local Apparel.

Prior to our establishment as a brand, the Local Apparel crew was holding down the hill-hunting & media making on these beautiful Appalachian roads. Throughout the years, we have found ways to continue to support each other as brands, particularly in working together on all of our merch releases.

Having grown up in the Northeast, Will had began in the DC scene, scoping northern Virginia, and eventually made his way to Boone, NC where he helped fortify the downhill scene and Local Apparel. As a skateboarder, rock climber, and artist, Will has made an immense impression on the East Coast community.

Will's iconic style embraces the flow state, making gnarly lines look effortless and meditative. During a session in 2012 on Red Fox, Phill Baldwin, while on board, captured this beautiful image of Will in tuck with his Pentax 35mm film camera. Albeit not making a magazine cover which it deserved at the time, we wanted to keep this image alive and put it into print.

This film photograph was separated into 3 layers and screen-printed using permanent water based inks.
